Pastor Shawn Montgomery

Pastor Shawn Montgomery has devoted more than two decades to faithfully serving the people of God, answering the call to ministry through His grace and guidance.  In 2023, he followed the Lord’s leading to establish Shema Temple, a ministry dedicated to helping individuals cultivate a strong and meaningful relationship with God. With a deep love for God and a passion for nurturing others in their faith journey, Pastor Montgomery is committed to servant leadership, delivering insightful preaching, and engaging in tireless community service.

Pastor Montgomery deeply honors those he has served under in ministry and who have guided him prior to establishing Shema Temple. He is especially grateful for the leadership and nurturing  of Dr. Emerald Glover, Jr., the Late Bishop Charles E. Hood, and Pastor Dorothy Hood, all whose influence has been instrumental in shaping his calling and ministry approach. These leaders laid a strong foundation for his spiritual journey, encouraging his growth and promoting his development as a servant of God. Through their guidance, wisdom, and support, they instilled in him the values of faith, perseverance, and humility, which continue to define his ministry today. Their investment in his spiritual and personal development has been instrumental in preparing him to lead and serve with purpose and dedication.

Believing in the transformative power of God’s Word, he challenges believers to live as the SALT of the earth—Self-Aware, Accountable, Love-Bearing, and Truth-Seeking/Doing. His vision is to see individuals grow in their relationship with God and actively reflect His love in their daily lives.

Pastor Montgomery believes that ministry extends beyond the walls of the church. He leads with a servant’s heart through outreach programs, counseling, and acts of compassion that aim to uplift the less fortunate and strengthen the community. Whether through his thought-provoking sermons or hands-on service, Pastor Montgomery remains steadfast in his mission to guide others toward a meaningful and Spirit-led life.

Standing faithfully beside Pastor Montgomery in ministry is his wife, Lady Rose Montgomery, whose unwavering support, encouragement, and shared devotion to God continue to strengthen the work and vision of the ministry.  Together they embody a shared dedication to serving God and His people. Lady Rose, a steadfast supporter of the ministry, walks alongside Pastor Montgomery as they demonstrate God’s love in action, bringing encouragement, hope, and transformation to those they serve.
